That’s right y’all. The Ghost Unit will make it’s triumphant return to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park over Halloween weekend 2013 to join the bill at String Cheese Incident’s Suwanee Hulaween! We toured as an acoustic trio with JHA and Gelbuda years ago w/ Bill Nershi and are really looking forward to joining the shennanies all weekend. Other acts confirmed so far include: STS9, Big Gigantic, Emancipator, Conspirator, Steve Kimock & Friends, Brock Butler, Future Rock, “Suwannee Bluegrass Surprise” set (who do you think it’ll be?) and a slew of others coming soon.
Most importantly there will be a burning man meets electric forest art installation called SPIRIT LAKE PROMENADE that is SURE to blow your mind. Check out more details about that at: http://suwanneehulaween.com/
For the 4th year in a row we’ll be playing an officialNorth Coast Fest after party this time with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Bottom Lounge! This is our only Chicago/Summer show remaining this year so make sure to join us for this dirty dirty Ghost Unit party!! We’ll see you in the fall y’all!!
It’s been a minute so we’re writing to check in. Van Ghost is currently gearing up for summer festival season and writing songs for our 3rd record currently titled “Can I Call You Karma?”. We are evaluating life and music as we know it so we can come with a rock and roll fury for you sooner than later. That’s it for now our loves. Talk soon!
Sometimes in art music and life you out pace or under estimate your vision to have everything work out exactly how and when you want it to. Eventually it all catches up and balances out the way it was meant to be. After years of time spent growing as a band in our live performances, songwriting, and studio work, today we are very proud to finally release the full length label debut by Van Ghost, “The Domino Effect“ from our label Dustimmoff Music.
This record is about certain stories and time periods in our lives and the people that have graced those stories with their love and at times drama. No matter how you spin it though, it all truly comes from the heart. And it’s coming from a real place baby, so please just don’t take it away… We hope you dig it and love you for your patience and continued support of the Ghost. Thank you a million times cause the best is yet to come!
“The Domino Effect“ is AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD NOW, directly from our Bandcamp page, on iTunes, or any of your preferred online outlets.

Many good things have been happening and we’re checking in to tell you all about it. Most importantly, we are proud to release our official new music video for the single Cage off our (FREE DOWNLOADABLE) current EP “The Effect” and full length “The Domino Effect” due out this July on Dustimmoff Music! Like our Domino Effect video, Cage was directed and produced by our dear friends Ian Gelfand & Grayson Ross in an abandoned mansion on the north shore of our hometown Chicago with additional footage from New York City and Chicago occupy protest rallies.
We’re honored that myISH, a new YouTube Music channel dedicated to discovering new music, premiered the official music video for Cage today, Monday, April 23, 2012. Please consider sharing it with your network and click to enjoy!
In other Cage related news, we’re proud to say for the past month the song has been charting in the Top 100 on the Commercial Triple A charts due to adds and spins from loyal stations in Boston MA (WXRV), Aspen CO (KSPN), San Francisco, CA (KFOG), Atlanta GA (DAVE FM) and many others from coast to coast. Our #1 supporter WXRV had this to say:
“Cage is a radio hit from the first note to the last note. Incredibly catchy and full of hooks. At “The River” in Boston, we’re already 125+ spins into Cage with great audience reaction and a station festival date already booked. My chips are on Van Ghost to break out with Cage. What are you waiting for? Listen and hear for yourself!” - Mike Henry, Radio Consultant, Paragon Media Strategies
